Dr Gearóid Ó Súilleabháin, inaugural chair of the NDLN, spoke at Hope Summit: (Re)Imagining Higher Education, co-hosted by University College Cork and Munster Technological University. The event explored how hope can inform leadership and systemic transformation across higher education.
Keynote speaker Professor Jessica Riddell, author of Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and Other Systems for Human Flourishing, offered a compelling vision of universities as agents of human flourishing and social renewal. Building on these ideas, Dr Ó Súilleabháin discussed the National Digital Leadership Network (NDLN), highlighting its role in cultivating digitally confident, hope-informed leadership and fostering collaboration and innovation across the Irish higher education sector.
