Keynote Speakers

As the Irish higher education sector moves toward a unified national open education policy, this one-day event at Munster Technological University serves as a critical forum for practitioners and leaders to influence the sector’s strategic direction.

The program bridges international expertise with national strategy, featuring high-level insights from:

  • Robin DeRosa (Executive Director, Open Education Network) on affordability and equity.

  • Tim Conlon (Head of Policy, HEA) on the evolving Irish policy landscape.

  • Lawrie Phipps (Jisc) & Prof. Peter Bryant (University of Sydney) leading an interactive workshop on reshaping institutional culture through open approaches.

This is a pivotal opportunity for academic staff, librarians, and policy leads to move beyond theory and identify the practical, scalable steps that will define the future of open pedagogy and digital learning in Ireland.
